Blog Creation
I’m really excited to be a part of CTLS’s technology challenge and look forward to learning Library 2.0 by completing “The 23 Things.” Last week, playing around with google was fun. I had already set up a gmail account but had not explored google to any extent. Google seems to have it all – I set up an iGoogle homepage with a cool book theme and added a few gadgets such as google reader, wikipedia, BBC News, and Buda weather. I’m playing around with the gadgets looking for those that will be the most beneficial and fun, but at the same time don’t want to clutter up the page too much.
As far as the 7 1/2 Habits, the easiest habit is Habit #2 Accept responsibility for your own learning. I enjoy learning new skills and discovering new tidbits and have always jumped in with both feet to new learning challenges. The habit that may prove to be the hardest, believe it or not, if Habit #7 1/2 Play. For the past two years, I’ve been working full time and have been going to UT working on my master’s part time. That left little or no room for play. I was graduated this past August and am looking forward to developing the habit of adding some play time to my life.
